Clarksville Police Department Officers join Clergy Rapid Mobilization Team for Community Outreach

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – What do you get when Clergy, Clarksville Police Officers, and Princesses gather together? A great way to reach out to the community.

The CRMT is made up of community leaders and ministers from different cultural and faith groups working together to bring the community and Clarksville Police Department together. They work in unison with the Chaplains’ Program of the Clarksville Police Department.

The weather was perfect for the Princesses ride on a float along with clergy and officers escorting “Royal Movie Characters” through the Summit Heights housing area.

The residents joined in the fun by waving and cheering to imaginary characters brought to life to help provide an opportunity for Police and Clergy to meet folks in a lighthearted environment.

While the Princesses interacted and sang to the group that gathered, officers and clergy handed out literature, comic books, badges, and, more importantly, were able to talk and with the children and parents in surroundings conducive to positive social interaction.

The Clarksville Police Department would like to extend their gratitude to the residents who took time to come meet officers and members of the CRMT and express their appreciation to the CRMT who pulled it all together and made the event successful.
