Montgomery County Animal Care and Control
Montgomery County, TN – In an effort to make the public aware of the animal problem in Montgomery County, Montgomery County Animal Care and Control has released the statistics on the intake, adoption and euthanasia for the month of May, 2018.
Montgomery County Animal Care and Control took in a total of 453 animals (14 feral cats, 148 kittens, 69 cats, 33 puppies and 189 dogs).
On the out take side, 248 animals were processed out of the facility: 97 animals were adopted (10 kittens, 8 cats, 5 puppies and 71 dogs); 92 animals were transferred to rescue organizations and 49 dogs, 6 puppies & 4 cats were reclaimed by their owner.
Sadly 124 animals were euthanized (81 cats and 43 dogs).
Montgomery County Animal Care and Control were very busy this month and as you all know this time of year is breeding season. I do believe our numbers truly show the importance of Spaying and Neutering.
We have lots of kittens in Cat Room 1 that need a loving home and some dogs that truly need a good home. Will you make the commitment?
