Clarksville Police release additional information on Fatality Crash at South Hampton Drive and Wilma Rudolph Boulevard

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday, July 16th, 2018 around 11:46am, a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse, operated by Mary Lancaster, age 77, out of Pembroke KY, was traveling south on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

A 1999 Triumph 955i motorcycle, operated by Austin McWhite, age 23, a Fort Campbell solider, was traveling north on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

Clarksville Police continue to investigate the crash at South Hampton Drive and Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in front of the Governors Square Mall.

The Chevrolet Traverse attempted to make a left turn onto South Hampton Place.

The Chevrolet Traverse turned in front of the Triumph 955i motorcycle and the motorcyclist could not avoid the collision. Mr. McWhite died on the scene as a results of his injuries. The family has been notified.

This crash is still under investigation at this time, and there is no further information that CPD are able to release.
