Memphis, TN – The Nashville Sounds led most of the way on Saturday night but got upended by the Memphis Redbirds in the bottom of the ninth inning and lost 4-3 at AutoZone Park. The loss officially eliminated the Sounds from playoff contention and clinched the American Southern division for the Redbirds.
The Sounds, who never led Friday night, grabbed a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning against Austin Warner. Matt Joyce singled to start the game, Boog Powell walked and Dustin Fowler singled home a run. Then in the fifth Joyce smacked an RBI double to plate Jorge Mateo and later scored on a wild pitch to make it 3-0.

Kansas City, MO – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team completed an unblemished stay in Kansas City by holding on for a five-set victory (29-27, 25-15, 22-25, 17-25, 15-10) against host UMKC, Saturday, in the final match of the Kangaroo Klassic at Swinney Recreation Center.
Austin Peay (3-0) opened by winning the first two sets for the first time in the tournament.

Nashville, TN – In Week 11 of the 2017 season, the Tennessee Titans traveled to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers in a primetime Thursday Night Football showdown and lost by a score of 40-17.
The Pittsburgh offense took a quick 7-0 lead as Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger led his team on a 75-yard scoring drive capped off by a 41-yard touchdown pass to Steelers WR Antonio Brown. Tennessee took the field for its first offensive possession, but on the third play of the drive QB Marcus Mariota threw a 26-yard interception to Steelers CB Mike Hilton.
NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Pasadena, CA – Instruments on NASA’s Terra and Aqua satellites were watching as Hurricane Lane — a category 2 storm as of Friday, August 24th — made its way toward Hawaii.
NASA’s Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR) captured images of Lane on just before noon local time on August 24th. MISR, flying onboard NASA’s Terra satellite, carries nine cameras that observe Earth at different angles. It takes approximately seven minutes for all the cameras to observe the same location, and the motion of the clouds during that time is used to compute the wind speed at the cloudtops.
