Clarksville-Montgomery County area TDOT Work starting August 31st, 2018

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that in Clarksville-Montgomery County from now through Friday, September 7th, 2018 the truck climbing lane on I-24 at MM 9.4 eastbound is closed to prep the area for emergency sinkhole repairs and construct a temporary travel lane.

Two lanes remain open.

Lane Closure

On Tuesday, September 4th through Friday, September 7th, from 8:00pm-6:00am, I-24 at MM 9.4 eastbound will be reduced to one lane for preliminary sinkhole repair work.

Looking ahead, starting Friday, September 7th at 8:00pm through Monday, September 10th at 6:00am, I-24 eastbound at mm 9.4 will be reduced to one travel lane for sinkhole repairs. Drivers should expect lengthy delays and consider an alternate route.

I-24 Clarksville Montgomery County Sinkhole Repairs

Montgomery County

SR 149 and SR 13 Grading, Drainage, and Construction of Bridge, Retaining Wall and Paving from River Road to Zinc Plant Road
Daily, from 9:00am-3:00pm (excluding Labor Day weekend), there will be periodic flagging operations along SR 13 and SR 149 for clearing and grade work operations.

SR 374 (Warfield Boulevard) Widening from South of Dunbar Cave Road to West of Stokes Road
Daily, from 9:00am-3:30pm (excluding Labor Day weekend), there will be intermittent road closures on Warfield Boulevard, between Dunbar Cave Road and Stokes Road, for pre-split blasting. All traffic will be halted during the blasting process until all debris is removed from roadway.

Looking ahead, on Wednesday, September 12th, from 9:00pm-4:00am, there will be a cross drain installation just north of Rossview Road. Detour will be implemented for a full closure. Local police will assist with traffic control.

 

Cheatham County-Robertson County-Davidson County

I-24 Resurfacing
Nightly, from 8:00pm-6:00am (excluding Labor Day weekend), there will be nightly lane closures on I-24 in both directions, between mile markers 24 and 37, for milling and paving operations.

Dickson County-Williamson County

I-40 East Construction of Truck Climbing Lane near Mile Marker 180
Nightly, from 8:00pm-6:00am (excluding Labor Day weekend), There will be a temporary lane closure on I-40 eastbound, between mile markers 180 and 183, for paving work. One lane will remain open.

Robertson County

New Interchange Construction on I-65 at SR 109
Now through August 2018, The inside lane of I-65 North will be closed, between mile markers 118 and 121, for removal of existing median wall and construction of new overhead signs. Two lanes will remain open in each direction.
