APSU Women’s Basketball held their first practice today

APSU Women's BasketballClarksville, TN – Off the back of one of the squad’s winningest seasons in the past decade, Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s basketball team began its new season by having its first official practice today.

The Govs are coming off a season with their most wins (16) since the 2008-09 season and the most conference wins (9) since the 2010-11 season.

Clarksville Police announce possible interruption in Traffic Flow during Wounded Warrior Bike Ride

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department says there may be some interruption in traffic flow during the Wounded Warrior Bike Ride on September 28th, 2018. The Wounded Warriors will be escorted by law enforcement during the ride.

The bike ride will leave from Gate 1 at Fort Campbell around 6:30am to Jack Miller Boulevard, to Outlaw Field, onto Tiny Town Road heading to Trenton Road, and following Trenton Road into Kentucky.

Austin Peay State University Department of Theatre and Dance presents ‘All My Sons’, October 4th-7th

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – On Thursday, October 4th, 2018 the Austin Peay State University Department of Theatre and Dance will open its 2018-19 season with “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller. The production will run through Sunday, October 7th.

Show times are 7:30pm Thursday-Saturday, with matinee performances 2:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. All performances are at the Margaret Fort Trahern Laboratory Theatre.

Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion Soldiers set to knock out 200 miles in road to recovery

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion Soldiers will complete a 200-mile bike ride on and around Fort Campbell September 27th and 28th, 2018.

“This will be the fifth iteration of our endurance ride,” said Lt. Col. Shawn Butler, WTB commander. “This year the ride will take place on post and in the communities surrounding Fort Campbell and we’ve extended the ride by 33 miles this year.”

Participants reach the final 20-mile stretch during last year's Bluegrass Rendezvous Bike Ride. This week Soldiers from Fort Campbell's Warrior Transition Battalion will complete a 200-mile bike ride on and around Fort Campbell Thursday, September 27th and Friday, September 28th. APSU Football takes on OVC Champion Jacksonville State

APSU FootballClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) football team wraps up its three-game road trip when it travels to No. 8 Jacksonville State for a 3:00pm kickoff, Saturday.

The matchup between the Governors (2-2, 0-1 OVC) and the Gamecocks (2-1, 1-0 OVC) is the first Ohio Valley Conference Game of the Week of the 2018 season. As such, the game will be broadcast on ESPN3.

Clarksville Police report Joey’s Auto Sales on Dover Road Burglarized

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police say that Joey’s Auto Sales on Dover Road was broken into sometime overnight between Tuesday, September 25th, 2018 5:00pm and Wednesday, September 26th, 6:00am.

There was forced entry into the business and over $3,000 worth of equipment was stolen which included computers, air compressor, battery charger, and camera equipment.

Clarksville Police are investigating a break in at Joey's Auto Sales.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation continues to grow Red River Trail

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will hold a public meeting from 1:00pm-3:00pm Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 on the Red River Trail with a three-fold purpose.

The meeting will begin with a ribbon cutting for Phase 1 of the Red River Trail, the newest section of trail beginning at the North Extension of the Riverwalk at McGregor Park to the Providence Boulevard overpass, adding approximately a quarter-mile of trail.
