Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion Soldiers begin 200-mile Recovery Ride

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Despite the dark clouds and rain, 32 Soldiers from the Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion set-out on a two-day, 200-mile bike ride on post and in Southern Kentucky early Thursday, September 27th, 2018.

The dual century ride is a personally challenging and therapeutic bike ride for wounded, ill and injured Soldiers and veterans, organized by the WTB’s adaptive reconditioning program and volunteers.

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Visit Clarksville says close to 2,200 athletes, coaches, and spectators will visit Clarksville on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 for the Class A and AA Boys and Girls Cross Country Middle School State Championships.

Armed with tents, coolers and plenty of water, family members will cheer runners along the two-mile course beside the Hilldale Baptist Church Family Life Center, 250 Old Farmers Road.

The Govs (6-4-1, 1-2-1 OVC) slipped up twice on the road last weekend, falling in overtime against SIU Edwardsville and Eastern Illinois, who currently occupy the top two spots in the OVC standings.

Clarksville Police locate Kaitlin Patterson wanted for Mail Thefts in Clarksville Area

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have been trying to locate Kaitlin Patterson, who has been associated with the mail thefts utilizing a postal service master key. She was picked up in Hopewell Virginia at approximately 6:30pm last night, Wednesday, September 26th, 2018.

Clarksville Police Officer Tim Simulis was, in a large part, instrumental in tracking her down. He followed some investigative leads which indicated she was in Hopewell, Virginia.

Kaitlin Patterson, wanted by Clarksville Police for Mail Thefts, has been found and arrested in Hopewell Virginia.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsAthens, GA – The Tennessee Vols Football team will face its first true road test of the season when it heads to Athens to take on No. 2/3 Georgia between the hedges on Saturday afternoon, September 29th, 2018 at Sanford Stadium. 

Kickoff for Saturday’s contest is slated for 2:30pm CT on CBS with Brad Nessler (play-by-play) and Gary Danielson (analyst) calling the action in the booth while Jamie Erdahl will be reporting from the sidelines.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – We’re going to level with you. The Austin Peay State University Drone Club’s racing drones are too fast for we at Public Relations to catch on video. When they really get rocking, they travel around 100 mph, and we can’t keep up with them.

They’re just a blur.

The Drone Club at APSU has three drone racers who will vie this week to qualify for the national championship next spring. The drones can travel up to 100 mph. Bigger racing drones can go faster. (APSU student Denzil Wyatt)

Clarksville Police seek help Identifying Burglary Suspect

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are trying to identify a man who is a possible suspect in the string of vehicle burglaries which occurred between Friday, September 21st, 2018 and Wednesday, September 24th, 2018.

The suspect was caught on video attempting to enter a vehicle, but after trying the door handle and discovering it was locked, moved on.

City of Clarksville, TSSA negotiations on State Soccer Park to enter next phase

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The Tennessee State Soccer Association has accepted the City of Clarksville’s invitation to begin negotiating a potential management and use agreement for a state soccer park as part of a new Clarksville Athletic Complex.

TSSA said Tuesday in a letter to Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan that it “wishes to enter the next phase of negotiations” and that its board will vote on December 1st to select a site for its statewide soccer complex.
