APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s soccer team earned an important Ohio Valley Conference win by routing Jacksonville State, 4-1, Friday, September 28th, 2018 at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field.

Head coach Naomi Kolarova only made one change in the lineup, but there were multiple Govs who made a switch into different positions.

Tennessee Governor, First Lady Haslam Partner With Peyton Manning To Raise More Than $550,000 for the Pat Summitt Foundation

Tennessee State GovernmentNashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 partnered with five-time National Football League MVP Peyton Manning to raise awareness and funds for The Pat Summitt Foundation, financing research, treatment and support for those facing Alzheimer’s disease.

Both a lunch event at Wellspire Nashville and a private, ticketed dinner held Wednesday at the Tennessee Residence together raised more than $550,000 to benefit the fund established by the late head coach of the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteer basketball team, Pat Summitt.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office issues warrant for Kirby Wallace for River Road Home Invasion

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for Kirby Gene Wallace, age 53, for the following charges: Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Burglary, and Theft of Property.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred at a home in the 1600 block of River Road on Thursday, September 27th, 2018.

The victim, who is an elderly woman in her 80’s, was returning home from church when Wallace stopped her at her car and forced her into her home at knifepoint.

Clarksville Police make Major Marijuana Drug Bust

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – A joint effort between officers and agents from the Clarksville Police Department and a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office K9 officer resulted in the seizure of almost 100 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana oil and $2,000 in cash.

Four men stopped in Clarksville for an overnight stay on their way to Florida, Thursday, September 27th, 2018 around 7:00pm, Clarksville Police Officers received a call from a business at the 600 block of Kennedy Lane about the odor of marijuana coming from one of the rooms.

APSU announces home games for Austin Peay Men and Women’s Basketball

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) has announced the game times for every home men and women’s basketball game for the upcoming 2018-19 year.

For the men’s team, second-year head coach Matt Figger‘s squad returns many of the faces that paced Austin Peay to a third-place finish in the Ohio Valley Conference a year ago, including OVC Freshman of the Year Terry Taylor. David Midlick‘s women’s basketball team is coming off a season with their most wins (16) since the 2008-09 season and the most conference wins (9) since the 2010-11 season.

He jumped out of a window of his Summer Street residence, September 14th, 2018 and has not been located.

He may be in the Dickson County or Nashville area.

Clarksville Police report Woman crashes Car into Fire Truck at scene of another accident

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, September 28th, 2018, around 7:00am, Clarksville Police report emergency responders were on the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Tiny Town Road near Princeton Court when a 40 year old woman driving a 2009 Nissan SUV driving east on Tiny Town Road crashed into the back of the stationary fire truck.

The driver of the Nissan had their vision obscured by the bright sunlight and did not see the truck.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigates Home Invasion on River Road

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in a home invasion that occurred in the 1600 block of River Road.

Kirby Gene Wallace, 53, is white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 157 pounds, with gray hair, hazel eyes, and possible facial hair.

He may be driving a stolen 2013 silver Ford Focus with a Tennessee license plate number 636KTW.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to call 911.
