Miss Davidson County Savana Hodge Crowned Miss Tennessee USA 2019

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Savana Hodge, Miss Davidson County, was crowned Miss Tennessee USA Saturday at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. Bailey Guy, Miss Greater Nashville, was crowned Miss Tennessee Teen USA.

The new title-holders and the runners-up received numerous prizes and scholarships, including custom-designed jewelry from Clarksville Jeweler Elliott Herzlich.

Both Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA will have the opportunity to represent Tennessee at the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageants in 2019.

Rounding out the top five finalists in the Miss Tennessee pageant were fourth runner up Miss Franklin Tara Koch, third runner up Miss Downtown Nashville Amanda Bell, second runner up Miss Wilson County Megan Ski Hollingsworth, and first runner up Miss Nashville Rayni Lasley.

The outgoing Miss Tennessee USA Alexandra Harper served as an ambassador for Second Harvest Food Bank, helped distribute Christmas presents to military families at Fort Campbell, assembled hundreds of food boxes for Feed the Need, and helped raised money for Pancreatic Cancer research during her busy year. Moving forward, she will continue focusing on entertainment reporting, modeling, and starring on CMT’s hit show, “Music City.” She is so grateful, humbled and beyond blessed to have had this once in a lifetime experience.

Other finalists in the Miss Tennessee Teen competition included fourth runner up Miss Memphis Ansley Ecker, third runner up Miss Heart of Knoxville Betty Kelley, second runner up Miss Franklin Alyssa Bates, and first runner up Miss Middle Tennessee Elizabeth Pistole.

Outgoing Miss Tennessee Teen UAA Sofie Rovenstine spent her year traveling to different schools and, by telling her own story, educating students on the importance of embracing our differences and loving ourselves and others so that we can be the best version of ourselves. This year has opened so many opportunities for which she is thankful. Most recently, Rovenstine was invited to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018 in New York City. She is beyond grateful for her sponsors and for the memories, friendships, and opportunities this year has provided.

Judges for the 2019 event included Cortland Finnegan, a 10-year NFL veteran; Erin Haney, Miss Georgia 2003; Jonathan Doone, CEO of Tenterfield Artist Alliance Talent Agency; Ashley Hamby, Miss Mississippi 2017; and David Gilbert, a musical theatre performing artist and gourmet cook.

The Miss Tennessee USA pageants, under the direction of Greenwood Productions, Inc., are affiliated with the Miss Universe organization and have been hosted in Clarksville since 1999. Information about all delegates can be found at www.misstennesseeusa.com
