Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Clarksville BBQ Bash to be held this Saturday at Liberty Park

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Clarksville BBQ Bash is free event to the public and will take place beginning at 10:00am, Saturday, October 20th, 2018 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park, 1188 Cumberland Drive.

Clarksville BBQ Bash

Participating teams from near and far will compete for cash and to see who has the best BBQ.

Attendees can enjoy kids activities, a cornhole tournament ($30.00 per team), local artisan vendors and so much more. Barbecue will be available for purchase from The Crave of Clarksville, Bench Clearing BBQ, and Excell Market and BBQ. Beer will be available for purchase, courtesy of Miller Lite.

This year’s event will have several new twists.

Clarksville BBQ Bash New Events

People’s Choice
BBQ Bash attendees are invited to visit the People’s Choice tent to sample barbecue for free from participating KCBS BBQ teams and vote for their favorite! Limited to the first 100 people. The winner will be announced during half time and will receive a cash prize.

Tennessee vs. Alabama Football Watch Party
Clarksville Parks and Recreation has teamed up with CDE Lightband to host an SEC Football Watch Party, UT vs. Alabama, beginning at 2:30pm at the Clarksville BBQ Bash, inside the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. The Watch Party is free and will be complete with big screens and seating.

Clarksville BBQ Bash VIP Night
Barbecue lovers are invited to taste award-winning BBQ, enjoy drinks, live music from 6:30pm-9:00pm on Friday, October 19th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Tickets can be purchased online at www.CityofClarksville.com/BBQBash

Beer & BBQ Fun Run
The morning of the Clarksville BBQ Bash, participants of all fitness levels are invited to run/walk a course completely inside of Liberty Park for a taste of beer and barbecue at the finish line. Each participant will receive an event t-shirt and finish with a full belly! Runners are encouraged to make a day of it and stay for the free Clarksville BBQ Bash activities. Registration will be available on race day.
