Clarksville Police seek to identify Woman that Crashed through doors of Car Dealership

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are trying to identify a woman that crashed a car through the glass doors of a car dealership at 2285 Trenton Road, October 13th, 2018 around 4:00am.

An unknown female driver of a Buick was seen on video surveillance sitting in the parking lot of the car dealership around 3:40am and, then drove the car through the glass doors around 4:04am.

Clarksville Police are trying to identify the women in these photos for crashing into a Car Dealership October 13th.

AAA reports National Gas Price Average Declines after Nearly Two Weeks of Increases

AAATampa, FL – At $2.89, the national gas price average is two-cents cheaper than it was a week ago amid consumer gasoline demand declining for a third week. Today’s gas price average is four-cents more than a month ago and 42-cents more expensive than a year ago.

The majority of states have seen gas prices decrease on the week with the exception of a handful of states, some of which were impacted by fuel disruptions on the west coast and in the southeast.

The Titans were founded as the Houston Oilers and moved to Tennessee in 1997 before becoming the Titans in 1999. The Chargers began in Los Angeles in 1960, moved to San Diego in 1961, and moved back to Los Angeles in 2017.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed a section of Twelve Oaks Boulevard between Mammy Lane and Bonnie Blue Avenue to repair a water service line.

Motorists will be detoured to Mammy Lane and Bonnie Blue Avenue. The repair is anticipated to be finished and the road reopen by approximately 1:00pm.

CMCSS Teachers learn arts integration at Austin Peay State University’s CECA professional development workshop

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – A couple of the grade school teachers held their hands overhead, their fingers dancing at Austin Peay State University. Three other teachers squatted, kneeled or sat, waving their arms back and forth slowly.

In their slow dance, the teachers emulated stars twinkling over slowly moving mountains. In doing so, they were practicing arts integration, an approach to teaching various subjects, such as science, through art, such as dance.

More than 20 local school teachers learned arts integration techniques to help them keep students engaged in learning the arts, such as dance, while learning other subjects, such as science. (Brian Dunn)

Clarksville Police Department now accepting applications for Citizen’s Police Academy Class set for March 5th, 2019

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department announces that applications are available for the upcoming Citizen’s Police Academy (CPA) class. The class will start on March 5th, 2019, and the graduation date will be on May 28th, 2019.

They will held on Tuesday evenings, times vary depending on the schedule (between 6:00pm-9:00pm) for 12 weeks (not including spring break week).

APSU Men, Women’s Basketball Season Tickets now on Sale

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) athletics department has announced its ticketing structure for the 2018-19 season for men and women’s basketball.

Season ticket prices for the upcoming 20-date, 28-game home slate have been set to the structure indicated in the table below.

No longer will Governors Club membership levels apply; a flat fee for the general public, as well as discounted admissions for faculty, staff and military, will streamline the ticketing system, alongside new ticketing partner Glitnir.
