Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – In their 2014 home opener and head coach Ken Whisenhunt’s debut at Nissan Stadium (then LP Field), the Tennessee Titans fell to the Dallas Cowboys 26-10.

Dallas took the lead at the end of the first quarter with a 48-yard field goal by K Dan Bailey, then proceeded to score 13 more unanswered points into the third quarter.

Despite the loss, TE Delanie Walker enjoyed one of the best games of his career against the Cowboys, tying a career high with 10 receptions for a career-best 142 yards and a touchdown.

Walker turned a pass from QB Jake Locker into a 61-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter, setting a new career long, and that catch put him over the 100-yard mark for the first time in his nine-year career.

Additionally, Walker’s 142 receiving yards qualified as the third-highest total in franchise history by a tight end.

The Titans defense recorded a few notable stats as well, with DT Jurrell Casey sacking Cowboys QB Tony Romo twice in the first quarter, recording his fourth career game with two sacks.

Even though the Titans made the score 16-10 in the third quarter, the Cowboys then went on an 80-yard scoring drive that ended in a three-yard touchdown reception by Cowboys WR Dez Bryant, putting them ahead 23-10. They sealed the win with a 48-yard field goal by Bailey.
