Gary Scott, Kenneth Griffy wanted by Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for Woodlawn Little League Theft

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating one of two men who stole money from a local little league.

Gary Wayne Scott, 41, is wanted for theft in connection to an incident involving the Woodlawn Little League.

According to the warrant, Scott was the league treasurer between October 2017 and April 2018. During that time he intentionally took funds from the little league account to use for personal gain. Records indicate he took $900.00 without permission from the league.

Scott is 5 feet 11 inches, 188 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. His bond is $2500.

Kenneth Dean Griffy, 57, was taken into custody on November 7th, 2018 and charged with theft.

According to the warrant, Griffy was the league president between October 2017 and April 2018. During that time he intentionally took funds from the little league account to use for personal gain. Records indicate he took $900.00 without permission from the league.

Griffy’s Bond was $2500.

“It’s very discouraging to see individuals who are willing to stoop so low they steal from children,” said Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson. “I hope this sends a clear message to anyone who might be thinking of doing the same. In the end your criminal activity will be discovered and you will be prosecuted.”
