Austin Peay State University announces Red Zone section for football games beginning 2019

APSU FootballClarksville, TN – The Mark Hudspeth Era for Austin Peay State University (APSU) football will begin with a change to the seating in Fortera Stadium for the Governors six-game home schedule in 2019.

Athletic department officials have announced the Red Zone, which will house all general admission seating on the east side of Fortera Stadium, in Sections J-P.

The west side of the stadium will be reserved seating, in addition to student seating in Sections E-H.

“Fortera Stadium has become one of the premiere atmospheres in the Ohio Valley Conference, and we plan to keep Stacheville rocking with the addition of the Red Zone,” APSU Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison said. “We are excited about introducing the Red Zone to our fans, as this will ramp up the atmosphere at The Fort by having passionate fans on all sides of the stadium cheering on Coach Hudspeth and the Govs.”

Season tickets in the Red Zone are $60.00, or $50.00 for military, seniors or Austin Peay faculty and staff.

As a special, limited-time offer, fans who purchase season tickets in the Red Zone will receive a premium experience with one free ticket to the VIP End Zone Experience for one of the Governors’ home games in 2019. The VIP End Zone is a premium experience nestled adjacent to the Hendricks Fox Walk of History that offers premium in-game food and beverage accommodations, along with a place to mix and mingle with other Austin Peay fans with a field-level view of the action. Additionally, there is cornhole and other tailgate-style games, along with televisions to monitor other college football action around the country.

The Govs 2019 home schedule features six games for the first time since 2003, including two non-conference games against North Carolina Central (Aug. 31) and Central Arkansas (September 7th) to open the season.

The Govs play host to 2018 Ohio Valley Conference Champion Jacksonville State (September 28th) and NCAA Championship at-large selection Southeast Missouri (October 12th), as well as Sgt. York Trophy rival UT Martin (November 9th) and Eastern Illinois (November 23rd) in the regular season finale.
