Hopkinsville Community College adding Hybrid and Evening College options in the new year

Hopkinsville Community CollegeHopkinsville, KY – Beginning in January of the Spring 2019 semester, Hopkinsville Community College (HCC) will be offering several in-person and hybrid courses that will expand the college’s Evening College that started in August 2018.

According to interim Chief Academic Officer Jim Hunter, the plan is to increase Evening College and hybrid course offerings each semester as demand increases.

“We started this alternative schedule in August with just 5 courses to test the interest of our students,” stated Jim Hunter.

“As we expected, the schedule flexibility did appeal to busy students. For the spring semester, we will be increasing class offerings to 9 courses,” Hunter said.

Evening College & Hybrid will consist of the following courses

REL160 – Religious Expressions of Forgiveness & Justice (Hybrid)
Tuesdays 6:00pm-7:15pm w/ the remainder online (3 credits)

HIS109 – History of the United States since 1865 (Hybrid)
Tuesdays 7:30pm-8:45pm w/ the remainder online (3 credits)

CHE140 / CHE145 – Intro. General Chemistry & Lab (Hybrid)
Every other Tuesday 6:00pm-8:45pm w/ Lab online (5 credits)

PHB120 – Fundamentals of Clinical Laboratory Phlebotomy
Tuesdays 6:00pm-9:00pm (6 credits)

PHB120 – Fundamentals of Clinical Laboratory Phlebotomy
Wednesdays 6:00pm-9:00pm (6 credits)

BIO139 – Human Anatomy / Physiology II & Lab
Mondays & Thursdays 6:00pm-8:20pm (4 credits)

EMS105 – Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Mondays & Wednesdays 5:00pm-9:00pm (6 credits)

BIO225 – Medical Microbiology & Lab
Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00pm-9:00pm (4 credits)

BIO227 – Principles of Microbiology & Lab
Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00pm-9:00pm (5 credits)
