Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – In Week 11 of the 2018 season, the Titans traveled to Indianapolis to take on the Colts and fell by a score of 38-10.

On Indianapolis’ second possession of the game, Colts QB Andrew Luck led his team on a seven-play, 33-yard scoring drive. With help from a 51-yard punt return from Colts WR Chester Rogers, Colts RB Marlon Mack got in the end zone on a one-yard rushing score to put Indianapolis on the board first, 7-0.

On the ensuing Tennessee possession, QB Marcus Mariota threw an interception to Colts CB Quincy Wilson to give the ball back to Indianapolis.

Luck connected with Colts TE Jack Doyle for back-to-back 15-yard and 16-yard first down passes, and also with Colts WR T.Y. Hilton for a 12-yard first down.

Ultimately, Indianapolis was forced to settle for a field goal as Colts K Adam Vinatieri converted a 22-yard attempt as Indianapolis took a 10-0 lead.

Later in the second quarter, the Colts tacked on another score as Luck tossed a 68-yard touchdown pass to Hilton. Indianapolis extended its lead, 17-0.

On the following possession for the Colts, Indianapolis constructed a quick five play scoring drive that resulted in an 18-yard rushing touchdown by Colts RB Jordan Wilkins. Indianapolis increased its lead, 24-0.

As the Tennessee offense took the field, Mariota began driving the Titans as he connected with TE Luke Stocker and RB Dion Lewis for first downs, and rushed for a four-yard first down himself. However, Mariota was sacked by Colts DL Denico Autry, and was forced out of the game with an injury.

The Titans were able to get on the board with a 42-yard field goal to head into halftime behind, 24-3.

As the second half got underway, the Titans defense forced Indianapolis to punt.

With Mariota on the sideline due to injury, QB Blaine Gabbert took the field with the offense, but on the fifth snap he threw an interception to Colts LB Darius Leonard. Indianapolis capitalized on the turnover as Luck threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Hilton.

The Colts went up, 31-3.

In the fourth quarter, Luck threw his third touchdown pass of the day as Colts WR Dontrelle Inman grabbed a seven-yard score for a 38-3 lead. With eight minutes left to play, Gabbert engineered a 12-play, 94-yard scoring drive that saw WR Tajaé Sharpe grab a one-yard touchdown pass as Tennessee cut Indianapolis’ lead, 38-10.

Ultimately, the Titans couldn’t mount a comeback, and fell to the AFC South rival Colts. It was Tennessee’s first loss to a division opponent since Week 4 of the 2017 season.
