Montgomery County Animal Care and Control
Montgomery County, TN – In an effort to make the public aware of the animal problem in Montgomery County, Montgomery County Animal Care and Control has released the statistics on the intake, adoption and euthanasia for the month of December, 2018.
Montgomery County Animal Care and Control took in a total of 257 animals (81 cats, 171 dogs and 6 other).
On the out take side, 285 animals were processed out of the facility: 150 animals were adopted (13 kittens, 49 cats, 6 puppies and 82 dogs); 80 animals were transferred to rescue organizations and 46 dogs, 6 puppies and 3 cats were reclaimed by their owner.
Sadly 60 animals were euthanized (25 cats and 35 dogs).
Well we officially have 2 weeks under our belts into the New Year, what is your Resolution for this year, adopt a shelter pet is at the top of the list I hope!! We are excited to have a lot of great animals to adopt here at the shelter and hope to see you all very soon.
