Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are trying to identify suspects involved in the burglary of a beer delivery truck.
On Monday, January 21st, 2019, around 2:15pm, a delivery was being made to a business on the 900 block of Crossland Avenue, when thieves entered the back of the unoccupied truck, twice, and removed five cases of beer.
The suspects were caught on surveillance video committing the burglary.

Knoxville, TN – Top-ranked Tennessee Vols basketball and West Virginia are set to meet on the hardwood Saturday at Thompson-Boling Arena in front of a sold-out crowd as part of ESPN’s SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
The game will tip at 3:00pm CT and will be televised on ESPN and can also be viewed online through WatchESPN. Fans can listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate to hear Bob Kesling and Bert Bertelkamp describing the action.
In its sixth year, Tennessee (17-1) holds a 3-1 record when competing in the cross-conference showcase, including a 68-45 win at Iowa State last season.
Montgomery County, TN – Based on a January 18th meeting led by Montgomery County Lead Engineer Nick Powell and Lyle, Cook & Martin Architect Brad Martin with general contractor Southland Constructors, several subcontractors, leadership from Montgomery County Parks and Recreation and County engineering staff, the Civitan Park Expansion is on schedule for completion for Fall 2019.
The group meets monthly to check progress and address real and possible issues of concern about the project.
Downtown Commons Winter Ice Rink
Montgomery County, TN – Soon the green space at Downtown Commons will be open again as we bid farewell to the outdoor ice rink for the 2018-2019 season. The second year of skating at the Downtown Commons Winter Ice Rink ended this week. It was another successful season with thousands of skaters who were able to take advantage of an uncommon outdoor activity for our community. The tear down process will begin by the end of this week.
After looking at trends from the 2017-2018 ice skating season, changes were made in 2018-2019 that included fewer days and hours for optimum use.
Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT)
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that in Montgomery County there will be on-call concrete repair at the Welcome Center for for concrete ramp and pavement repairs the weekend of Friday, January 25th, 2019
The right lane on I-24 EB will be closed until the concrete is placed. The work will take approximately 12 hours to complete – the timing depends on weather.
