#1 Tennessee Vols take down Missouri, 72-60

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Holding Missouri to just 35.4 percent from the field, No. 1 Tennessee Vols topped the Tigers for the second time this season, 72-60, extending its winning streak to a program-best 17 games.

The Vols (21-1, 9-0 Southeastern Conference) remain the only undefeated team in SEC play and push their conference regular season winning streak to 13, which ties a program record set in the 1979-80 season.

Four Tennessee players finished in double figures with Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield leading the way with a game-high 13 points apiece. Jordan Bowden had 12 points, while Jordan Bone (11 points) and Lamonte Turner (9 points) helped close out the game in the second half.

APSU Women’s Tennis beats Cumberland to remain unbeaten

APSU Women's TennisClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s tennis team rolled over Cumberland University, winning every singles match in straight sets to remain unbeaten, Tuesday, at the Governors Tennis Center.

The Governors (5-0) imposed their stranglehold on the match from the get-go in doubles.

TWRA to hold Two Free Trapper Training Camps

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and the Tennessee Fur Harvesters are hosting a pair of free trapper training camps in different regions of the state this winter.

The first camp is at TWRA’s Buffalo Ridge Refuge in Humphreys County on February 22nd-24th. The second camp is at TWRA’s Hiwassee Refuge in Meigs County near the Hamilton County community of Birchwood on March 15th-17th.

Clarksville Police report Tyler Stilke has turned himself

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Tyler Stilke turned himself to officers from the Clarksville Police Department at their Vista Lane precinct around 12:30pm. CPD appreciates the media and public’s help for turning up the heat by getting out the word.

The word traveled quickly though social media channels and Stilke turned himself in within three hours of the release being sent out.

APSU Football alumni Malik Boynton begins professional career with Memphis Express

APSU FootballMemphis, TN – Former Austin Peay State University (APSU) football standout Malik Boynton made the opening day roster for the Memphis Express of the newly formed Alliance of American Football.

The AAF begins its inaugural season this weekend, with the Express slated to kick off its maiden voyage against the Birmingham Iron at 3:00pm, Sunday, February 10th, 2019.
