Clarksville, TN – Fresh off a 2-0 weekend in the Ohio Valley Conference for the first time since the opening weekend, Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team looks to extend its winning streak to three games by hosting Southeast Missouri, 5:30pm, Thursday., February 21st.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO)
Clarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Warrants and Sexual Offender Unit with the assistance of the Austin Peay State University Police Department, the Clarksville Police Department, the United States Marshal Service, and the Diplomatic Security Service conducted Operation Broken Hearts to target subjects with recent outstanding criminal warrants.
By 5:00pm, Friday, February 15th, 2019 they had arrested 40 subjects with a total of 52 outstanding warrants (note that some warrants may have had multiple charges on them).

Clarksville, TN – With an opening-round bye secured for next month’s Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team turns its attention to positioning itself for a run to the top-two, beginning Thursday when the Govs host Southeast Missouri at 8:00pm as the second half of a doubleheader, with the women’s contest scheduled for a 5:30pm tipoff.
Fort Campbell, KY – As part of an ongoing Army wide effort to resolve unsatisfactory conditions in Army family housing, Fort Campbell’s leadership will hold a town hall to provide information and gain feedback at Wilson Theater, Building 93 Michigan Avenue at 6:00pm, Tuesday, February 26th, 2019.
This town hall is an internal forum for installation leaders to personally connect with Soldiers, Army families and other residents of Fort Campbell to help ensure they are meeting their obligations to provide safe, quality family housing.
In a recent statement, Secretary of the Army Dr. Mark Esper stated, “We are deeply troubled by the recent reports highlighting the deficient conditions in some of our family housing. It is unacceptable for our families who sacrifice so much to have to endure these hardships in their own homes.”

Clarksville, TN – On a mild November evening, Sidney Brown, 87, stood along the sidelines at Austin Peay State University’s Fortera Stadium. He wore a blue blazer, which sagged from all the medals pinned above the left pocket, and a ball cap for the 555th Parachute Infantry, the U.S. Army’s famed all-black airborne unit.

Knoxville, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols (17-8, 6-6 SEC) is back on the road to take on No. 21/22 Texas A&M (19-6, 8-4 SEC) on Thursday night in College Station, Texas. Tip-off is slated for 8:02pm CT (9:02pm ET) at Reed Arena in a contest that is being carried by the SEC Network.
Including this match-up, the Tennessee Lady Vols have four contests remaining during the regular season. Two are at home (No. 13/13 South Carolina, Vanderbilt) and two are away (No. 21/22 Texas A&M, Ole Miss). UT is closing out a five-game stint where it has played four of those five contests on the road. UT is 2-1 on the road and 1-0 at home during that stretch.
101st Airborne Division
Fort Campbell, KY – Soldiers assigned to the 101st Airborne Division will continue to return here through February, following a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan.
More than 500 Soldiers with “Task Force Destiny,” 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, and “Task Force Lifeliners,” 101st Sustainment Brigade, will return in four welcome home ceremonies, scheduled to occur February 21st and February 28th, 2019.
During their deployment, the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade provided aviation support to U.S., coalition and Afghan forces throughout the Combined Joint Operations Area-Afghanistan.

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Women’s and Gender Studies Program and the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance will host the 18th annual production of Eve Ensler’s award-winning play, “The Vagina Monologues,” at 7:00pm on February 20th and 22nd in Clement Auditorium.

Nashville, TN – The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Clarksville-Montgomery County, Western Dickson County, Stewart County, Houston County, and Humphreys County that is in effect through early Thursday morning.
At 3:33am CST, Wednesday, February 20th, doppler radar indicated heavy rain and thunderstorms moving across northwest Middle Tennessee. Radar estimates up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen in this area since yesterday. The additional heavy rainfall this morning will cause minor flooding of roads and low lying areas across the advisory area.
