APSU Men's TennisClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s tennis team returns home to take on Butler, 10:00am, Wednesday, March 13th.

In their most recent outing, the Govs fell to nationally ranked Valdosta State, despite a win at No. 1 singles from senior Almantas Ozelis.

The Govs will be fortunate to return home, sporting a 3-3 record in Clarksville, but have not yet won on the road this season.

About the Butler Bulldogs

The Bulldogs (10-4) present one of the tougher challenges on the season on paper. Butler comes in winners of their last six matches.

Despite the good form Butler has displayed, the Govs will have reason to feel confident. This is the first dual match meeting between the two schools, but Jacob Lorino went 2-0 against Butler opponents at last fall’s Ohio Valley Regionals, with a win each in singles and doubles.

Timo Kiesslich also won a match in doubles against Butler at the same tournament, taking the Govs to a 3-0 overall mark against the Bulldogs in the fall.

As of now, the match will be played outdoors, but make sure to stay tuned to @AustinPeayMTN on Twitter for all the latest news and updates.
