Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office promotes Matthew Riels, John Fleming, Eric Trout

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) would like to congratulate Matthew Riels, John Fleming, and Eric Trout on their promotion to Corporal in the Uniform Patrols Bureau.

Corporal Riels began his career with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in May 2008 as a Deputy in our Detention Services Bureau. He transferred to the Patrol Division in October 2012 and was promoted to Field Training Officer (FTO) in August 2016. Corporal Riels brings nearly 11 years of experience to his new position.

Corporal Fleming began his career with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in March 2014 as a Deputy in our Detention Services Bureau and was promoted to FTO in December 2015.

He transferred to the Patrol Division in April 2016. He was promoted again to FTO in the Patrol Division in October 2017. Corporal Fleming brings 5 years of experience to his new position.

K9 Corporal Trout began his career with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in April 2013 as a K9 Deputy in the Patrol Division. Trout is a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as a Military Policeman for 5 years. He spent an additional 7 years with the Federal Reserve Police as a K9 Officer.

K9 Corporal Trout brings nearly 18 years of law enforcement experience to his new positon.
