Tennessee Vols advance to Second Round of NCAA Tournament with 77-70 win over Colgate

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsColumbus, OH – The No. 2 seed Tennessee Vols outlasted a second-half rally by 15th-seeded Colgate, 77-70, at Nationwide Arena to advance past the first round in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament.
 
After the Raiders (24-11) stormed back from a 12-point deficit at halftime, the Vols (30-5) stepped up in the final minutes to put the game away. The Tennessee Vols hit four of its final five shots, all of which came from beyond the arc. The last three makes came off the right hand of All-SEC wing Admiral Schofield. The final dagger dropped through the nets with 45 seconds left to make it 73-64.

APSU Women's VolleyballTallahassee, FL – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) beach volleyball team fell against a pair of top 10 nationally-ranked teams, Friday, at the Seminole Beach Battle.

The Governors struggled early in the first match against No. 10 Stetson, Friday morning. Stetson improved to 13-3 after defeating APSU, 5-0.

Clarksville Street Department opens Canterbury Road to traffic

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Street Department has reopened a section of Canterbury Road from Dogwood Lane to Sherwood Drive after replacing a drainage pipe.

The large pipe had collapsed under the road in the Beachaven Subdivision after being damaged by erosion from heavy rains.
