Clarksville-Montgomery County CMC Counts! to kick off 2020 Census efforts

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Census 2020 Kickoff Day — scheduled April 1st, 2019, “one year out” from the formal start of Census 2020 — will include the introduction of CMC Counts!, the community’s Census Complete Count Committee.

The public and media are invited.

The goal is twofold:

To start making citizens aware of the coming 2020 Census and its importance.

To bring together local governments, government-supported institutions, agencies, and organizations and join with the U.S. Census Bureau to ensure a full and accurate count of Clarksville and Montgomery County in the 2020 Census.

When: 10:00am Monday, April 1st, 2019.

Who: Jim Durrett, Mayor of Montgomery County, Tennessee, and Joe Pitts, Mayor of the City of Clarksville, will proclaim April 1st, 2019 as Census 2020 Kickoff Day and introduce members CMC Counts!, our local Census Complete Count Committee. CMCSS Schools Director Millard House; Col. Joseph Kuchen, Fort Campbell Garrison Commander; Jon Hunter, Deputy to the Garrison Commander; and a representative from Austin Peay State University; will attend to show support for CMC Counts!
