Nashville Sounds beat Iowa Cubs at First Tennessee Park, 8-2

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Chase d’Arnaud clubbed a two-run homer and Ariel Jurado dealt five solid innings as the Nashville Sounds rolled to an 8-2 win over the Iowa Cubs in front of 7,823 fans at First Tennessee Park Friday night.

Nashville collected 11 hits on the night, led by multi-hit performances by Danny Santana, Carlos Tocci and Eli White. The trio reached base safely nine times in the win.

Tocci helped start the scoring immediately in the bottom of the first inning when he led off the home half of the inning with a base hit to left-center. Willie Calhoun walked to put two on for the Sounds, and two batters later the pair pulled off a successful double steal of second and home.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police say the Edge Salon, located at 1490 Madison Street, had an unexpected about visitor when a pickup truck smashed into the building around 10:25am, Friday, April 5th, 3019.

A pickup driven my Brandon Porter, age 38, traveling west on Madison Street accelerated when the traffic control light changed from red to green causing the pickup to spin in a circular manner on the roadway.

Fort Campbell, KY – Throughout the month of March, the 716th Military Police Battalion, 16th Military Police Brigade, teamed up with cadets from the Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and the criminal justice students from Northeast High School (NEHS) as part of the 101st Airborne Division’s (Air Assault) community outreach program.

The 716th Military Police Battalion strives to maintain an active relationship with local schools to include Northeast High School (NEHS), West Creek Middle School, Austin Peay State University (APSU), all in Clarksville, Tennessee, in addition to Marshall Elementary School on Fort Campbell and Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
