Nashville Predators loses to Dallas Stars 3-2 in Game One of Stanley Cup Playoffs

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators dropped game one of their Stanley Cup playoff series to the Dallas Stars, 3-2.

After getting off to a hot start in the first period, things cooled off for Nashville as the Stars turned up the heat.

Roman Josh got things started for Nashville. At 12:12 of the opening frame, whipping a backhander past Dallas goalie Ben Biship and the Preds took an early 1-0 lead.

That’s how the period would end.

Round Rock Express’ Nick Tanielu hits Grand Slam Home Run to beat Nashville Sounds, 9-5

Nashville SoundsRound Rock, TX – The Round Rock Express had the last laugh as infielder Nick Tanielu hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Express past the Nashville Sounds, 9-5, in a back-and-forth game on Wednesday night at Dell Diamond.

Tanielu’s walk-off grand slam came off Sounds reliever Miguel Del Pozo with nobody out in the bottom of the 10th, and just moments after Nashville squandered a bases-loaded, nobody out opportunity of their own in the top of the 10th.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office requests help finding Vehicle Burglary Suspects

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating suspects responsible for multiple vehicle burglaries on Merritt Lewis Lane early Tuesday morning, April 9th, 2019 between 1:00am. and 4:30am.

Three vehicles were burglarized and an additional four vehicles were unlawfully entered and rummaged through.

The suspects stole a rifle, three firearms magazines, binoculars, tools, camera, hand and power tools, and financial paperwork.

Nashville Zoo to open Tiger Crossroads Exhibit, April 12th

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – Nashville Zoo will open its new Tiger Crossroads exhibit featuring three four-year-old female Sumatran tigers to the public on Friday, April 12th, 2019 at 9:30am.

Originally built in 1989 as a black bear exhibit and then home to Bengal tigers until 2015, the Zoo’s tiger exhibit was in great need of renovation. Improvements to the exhibit enlarged the tigers’ habitat and night quarters, as well as added a new indoor viewing area for guests.

The viewing building features reinforced glass panels for the closest possible view of these majestic cats, an interactive training window where guests can see keepers working with the tigers and interactive displays to engage and educate visitors about tiger conservation.
