Liermann’s selection breaks a tie with Austin Peay Athletics Hall of Fame member Andrea Miller for most OVC Player of the Week selections in a career by a Gov, while also being the first time in program history where a player from Austin Peay has won the honor two times a season in two different seasons.

The Simi Valley, Calif, native batted .591 this past week, recording hits in all seven games, including five of those being multiple-hit efforts.

Liermann also had three home runs and a double among her 13 total hits, while scoring eight times and driving in 12 – including three game winners.

Liermann’s selection marks the 21st time in the program’s history that an Austin Peay softball player has been selected OVC Player of the Week and a record fourth this season with teammates Kacy Acree (February 11th) and Morgan Rackel (April 1st) also being selected this spring.
