In accordance with University policy, the APSU Psychology Department will determine the scholarship recipients from a competitive group of applicants.

To qualify, students must have a major in Psychology, be enrolled full-time at APSU and have a 3.0 GPA at the time they apply. Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible to receive this award.

Priority will be given to returning students. This scholarship is renewable.

Endowments are permanently restricted funds managed by the Austin Peay State University Foundation. The amount of each scholarship award may vary and will be determined based upon the value of the endowment and the foundation spending plan.

“APSU changes lives,” Kupisch said. “Within its rich academic environment, students are free to explore, discover and learn, while gaining the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the world around them and prepare for the future.”

“As a professor of psychology, I witnessed the life-changing possibilities of an APSU education, and I wanted to provide support to students who otherwise would not be able to enjoy such possibilities due to financial constraints. A scholarship often means the difference between maximizing one’s potential and just making ends meet. I am fortunate to have been at APSU, and I hope this scholarship will provide opportunities for students to continue their education at such an excellent university,” stated Kupisch.
