For freshman Camaryn McClelland, it was an opportunity to make up for lost time after missing quite a bit of the spring due to injury.

She placed fourth in the triple jump with an 11.77m mark and eighth in the long at 5.47m as she continues to work her way back into form after missing most of April.

She also posted a 13th-place, 14.94 mark in the 100m hurdles.

Two sprinters looking for fast heats competed in the 100m dash. Unfortunately, Diamond Battle (12.47, 10th) and Garielle Netter (12.55, 11th) just missed qualifying for the finals.

The Govs as a team are gearing up for next week’s Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, which begin Thursday, May 9th, 2019.
