Nashville Sounds open series at Memphis Redbirds with 10-4 win

 

Nashville SoundsMemphis, TN -The Nashville Sounds defeated the Memphis Redbirds 10-4 Tuesday night. The Sounds pounded out  a record 19 hits, setting a new team season-high. Zack Granite led the way with four hits.

The Redbirds scored first with two runs in the top of the first inning. The first run was scored on a balk by Joe Palumbo. Andrew Knizner hit an RBI single to get the second run in.

In his first game back on a rehab assignment, Scott Heineman hit a two-run homer to tie the game in the top of the second inning.

Clarksville Police arrest Brandi Johnson for Burglary

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have identified a couple, Brandi Johnson and Joshua Johnson, as being responsible for a burglary at South Hampton Plaza (video attached) thanks to assistance from local media and the public. They were both located last night and taken in custody.

Also, Brandi Johnson was charged with another burglary at a Dover Road business in which her husband Joshua had already been charged.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department announces Spring Haven Drive Water Outage Planned for Wednesday

 

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department has announced a planed water outage for Wednesday, June 26th, 2019 at 9:00am on Spring Haven Drive for fire hydrant repair work.

The repair is anticipated to be finished, and the water service restored by approximately 10:00am.

Clarksville Police report Home, Vehicles struck by Gunfire on Man O War Boulevard

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – According to Clarksville Police, a home in the 3800 block of Man O War Boulevard was hit by gunfire around 11:45pm, Monday, June 24th, 2019. No one was injured.

When CPD officers arrived the found the garage had been hit several times and two cars in front the residence had been struck.

Land Between the Lakes Storm Debris being cleared by U.S. Forest Service

 

Land Between the Lakes - LBLLand Between the Lakes, KY/TN – While the U.S. Forest Service and electric company crews continue removing storm damage from power lines, roads and campgrounds at Land Between the Lakes (LBL), certain areas will be closed for several days.

Three severe storms with high winds, heavy rains and lightening crossed Land Between the Lakes beginning Friday. Forest Service crews began clearing roads on Friday but many trees continue to fall and create dangerous situations.

The American Red Cross urges donors of all blood types to give now to help prevent delays in medical care this summer.
