Three APSU Women’s Golf players earn WGCA All-American Scholar honors

APSU Women's GolfCoral Springs, FL – Three Austin Peay State University (APSU) golfers were among more than 1,000 nationwide honorees to earn Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar honors for the 2018-19 academic year.

Recent graduates Taylor Goodley (political science) and Ashton Goodley (psychology) joined AnnaMichelle Moore as the only four-time honorees in program history.

Meanwhile, rising senior Meghann Stamps (communications) could join that trio next year after earning her third honor in three years.

To be named a WGCA All-American Scholar, a women’s golfer must achieve a 3.50 grade-point average or higher and have participated in at least half of their teams tournaments. All three Govs who earned WGCA honors played in the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Golf Championships in April, helping Austin Peay to a final-round 300, besting the Govs previous 18-hole record at the Championship by one shot.
