Clarksville, TN – On Monday night, July 24th, 2019, Clarksville Police responded to a shooting that had already occurred at 1006 College Street around 9:30pm. The first officer arrived within a minute of the call being dispatched.
When he arrived, the scene was chaotic and there was a mass exodus of people leaving the parking lot. There was one man found in the parking lot who had been shot and a short time later, police were made aware there was another shooting victim in the area of 1030 Main Street.
Based on the limited information provided by people still at the scene, there was a large gathering of people at 1006 College Street celebrating together when gunfire erupted with one man was known to be shot.
It was unknown another man had been shot until a short time later.
There is no confirmed vehicle or suspect description at this time.
Both men were in critical condition when officers came in contact with them. One was taken by Life Flight to a Nashville Hospital and the other was transported to a local hospital.
The crime scene is being processed and when additional information is available it will be released.
There are multiple agencies, Clarksville Police Department (CPD), Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), and the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) involved with securing the scene.
