Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police responded to a call to Iris Lane on Friday, July 26th, 2019, around 11:50pm, for a shooting that had already occurred.
When officers arrived, they found a 25 year old man inside of a vehicle who had been shot.
He was transported by Lifeflight to a Nashville area hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.
Based on the limited information provided, an Iris Lane resident was expecting the victim’s arrival, was on the phone with him, heard what sounded like fireworks outside, and the phone connection was lost.
The resident went outside, found the victim had been shot and called 911.
As Police canvassed the area, they found another Iris Lane resident at a different address that heard gunshots, went outside, and saw a white Dodge Challenger or Charger driving north on Iris Lane and then turn on to Mallard Drive.
Clarksville Police believe the shooting was targeted and not random.
CPD are asking for anyone in the area to review their video surveillance footage for a Challenger or Charger or activity which appears suspicious.
