Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department has planned a water outage on Thursday, August 8th, 2019 at 11:00pm, weather permitting, on a section of Madison Street (Hwy. 41A South) from Highway 76 and Highway 41A Bypass intersection to Country Lane that will affect all tenants in the Clarksville Commons Plaza, Hananoki Shopping Center and the Dollar General Store.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking for Extremely Dangerous escapee Curtis Watson

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationHenning, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued a statewide Blue Alert for Curtis Ray Watson.

Watson is listed as a person of interest in the homicide of a Tennessee Department of Correction employee on Wednesday, August 7th, 2019, and is an escapee from the West Tennessee State Penitentiary in Henning, Tennessee.

Watson should be considered extremely dangerous.

Anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts should immediately contact the TBI at 1.800.TBI-FIND.

AAA says National Gas Price Average Cheaper on the Week, Month and Year

 

AAATampa, FL – AAA reports that the average national gas price dropped by two cents to $2.71 on the week. This is less expensive than a week, a month (-4 cent) and a year (-15 cents) ago. Prices are cheaper as demand saw a small dip on the week, even though overall demand remains robust for the summer.

“While gas prices continue to drop, the rate at which they are decreasing has slowed,” said Jeanette Casselano, AAA spokesperson.

Clarksville Police Department’s National Night Out event had something for everyone

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Tuesday, August 6th, 2019, the Clarksville Police Department held the 2019 National Night Out event at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.

National Night Out is meant to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.

It afforded an opportunity to bring the community together under positive circumstances.

Hilltop SupermarketClarksville, TN – The Saint Thomas Health Our Mission in Motion Mobile Mammography Coach will be at Hilltop Supermarket’s parking lot from 9:00am until 3:00pm this Saturday, August 10th, 2019.

The coach provides mammography for women who cannot afford the time away from work for appropriate screenings. It also helps women with no insurance through support from organizations like Susan G. Komen.

Fort Campbell, KY – The 510th Military Police Detachment, 716th Military Police Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division provides continuous service to the community and the nation for training and fielding Military Working Dogs (MWDs).
