There will be games, food and fun for people of all ages. Local dignitaries will also be there to kick-off the event.

“Our VSO has been serving military veterans and family members since 1944. We did not want to let this year go by without recognizing that accomplishment. This event also gives us the opportunity to get to know the community better and let them know what services we have available. Anyone is welcome to join us,” said VSO Director Andrew Kester.

The Montgomery County VSO has served nearly 8,000 military veterans through the years advising on services such as: disability compensation; veterans’ pension and surviving spouse pension; survivor benefits; burial benefits; healthcare, GI Bill and education; vocational rehabilitation; appeals and military service and discharge records.

If you have questions or would like to participate and showcase your organization at the 75th Anniversary Celebration on August 24th, please contact VSO Director Andrew Kester at askester@mcgtn.net or call 931.553.5173.
