Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office promotes Eric Trout, transfers Mike Oliver

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announces Corporal Eric Trout has been promoted to K9 Sergeant and Sergeant Mike Oliver has been transferred to Criminal Investigations Sergeant.

Trout started his career with the MCSO in April 2013 as a K9 Deputy in the Uniform Patrols Bureau. He was promoted to K9 Corporal in March 2019. Prior to working at the Sheriff’s Office he served in the U.S. Air Force for five years as a Military Policeman. He also worked for seven years for the Federal Reserve Police as a K9 Officer. Trout brings nearly 18 years of law enforcement experience to his new position.

Oliver began his career with the MCSO in March 1990 as a Jail Deputy in the Detention Services Bureau. In 2001 he transferred to the Uniform Patrol Bureau as a Patrol Deputy. He later went on the work as a Criminal Investigator and in July 2012 was promoted to K9 Sergeant. Oliver brings more than 29 years of law enforcement experience to his new position.
