Clarksville, TN – Fall classes have begun at Austin Peay State University (APSU). But the kickoff of classes isn’t the only big thing happening on campus this week.
Football season starts with when the Govs and new head coach Mark Hudspeth host North Carolina Central 7:00pm Thursday, August 29th at Fortera Stadium.
Austin Peay State University also will unveil a new pregame event on Thursday: Stache Street, which will take over Marion Street in front of the stadium and the Foy Fitness Center.
As letsgopeay.com notes, “Governors fans will be able to walk Stache Street and enjoy an array of food truck options and inflatable games.” There’ll also be live music.
Stache Street festivities open at 4:00pm and close 30 minutes before kickoff.

Involvement Fair on Thursday
Join the more than 130 student organizations and our campus departments for the annual Involvement Fair 11:00am-2:00pm Thursday in the Morgan University Center Plaza under the big white tent.
You’ll get a chance to speak to student leaders of each organization and to find the groups that are right for you. There will be interactive displays and giveaways.
#Adulting, the fine art of growing a plant
Join GovsLEAD in a light-hearted demonstration in this continuing series on learning the basics (the very, very basics) of being an adult. The event is open to all students and Austin Peay State University employees (we all need tips on being an adult), and the first 25 students who come in person receive a free gift.
The demo is noon-12:30pm Friday, August 30th at the Morgan University Plaza.
If your #adulting meter has tanked and you just can’t show up in the flesh, you can watch the demo on Student Life & Engagement’s Instagram: @APSUSLE.
