APSU Volleyball falls to Northwestern, Stephen F. Austin

 

APSU Women's VolleyballEvanston, IL – Austin Peay State University (APSU) volleyball outside hitter Brooke Moore had 31 kills over two matches as the Govs dropped its first two matches at the NU Under Armour Challenge, Friday.

The Governors fell to host Northwestern in four sets (17-25, 25-19, 17-25, 14-25) and Stephen F. Austin in three sets (19-25, 17-25, 12-25).

TBI issues Amber Alert for Two Missing Clarksville Children

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationClarksville, TN – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued a statewide Amber Alert on behalf of the Clarksville Police Department for 10-year-old Le’Asia De’Nae Thompson and 11-year-old Traveon Devon Thompson Jr.

Le’Asia is a biracial female with brown hair, brown eyes, 4’2″ tall and 55 lbs.

Traveon is a biracial male with brown hair, brown eyes, 4’5″ tall and 75 lbs.

2019 Riverfest Juried Art Show was held Thursday night

 

RiverFest 2019Clarksville, TN – Artists and art fans packed the Wilma Rudolph Event Center on Thursday for the opening event of Clarksville’s 2019 Riverfest, the 32nd Annual Riverfest Juried Art Show.

The juried art show showcased works by local professionals, amateurs and aspiring artists in four divisions: Professional, Amateur, Senior, and Youth. The artwork was judged by Bettye Holte and Jacqueline Crouch, and the winners were announced at a reception Thursday evening, September 5th.

Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts was on hand to present this year’s award winners.

Clarksville Police release names of Domestic Related Homicide

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police say the married man and woman that died last night at 1203 Dandelion Court in the domestic related homicide were:

Tony Brown, age 56, believed to be the shooter and was found by officers deceased inside of the garage.

Janie Brown, age 50, found on the porch and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Austin Peay State University first year Students give back through Freshman Service Project

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) 2019 freshmen class members began their academic careers on an altruistic note by participating in the Freshman Service Project, an annual event that allows freshman to bond while introducing them to nonprofit organization’s in the community on August 24th, 2019.

Clarksville Police looking for Two Missing Children

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are searching for two missing children. The children were last seen wearing pajamas at their Cross Ridge Drive residence Thursday, September 5th around 5:30pm, when one of the family members left for work.

Around 7:30pm, after another family member came home, the children were already gone and the pajamas they were wearing were left in the bedroom.

Clarksville Police Two Deceased in Domestic Related Homicide at Dandelion Court

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, September 5th, 2019, around 8:55pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to a shots fired call at a Dandelion Court residence.

When the first officers arrived, there was gunfire heard coming from inside of the garage. There had been a man and woman that had been struck by gunfire located outside of the residence.

The woman was on the porch and the man was in a neighbor’s yard.
