Marsha Blackburn Report: Another Week on the Road

U.S. SenateNashville, TN – This August’s work period has gone by in a flash! Traveling to nearly 40 counties throughout our state helped me determine how I can make life a little easier for my fellow Tennesseans. I’m ready to get back to D.C. and put everything I’ve learned over the past few weeks to good use.

Tennesseans should be able to receive quality health care close to home, when and if they need it. Folks in Dickson County weighed in on my Rural Health Agenda, which will establish or expand medical facilities and bring more providers to rural areas.

NASA’s NuSTAR observatory sees Mysterious Flash

NASA - National Aeronautics and Space AdministrationPasadena, CA – NASA’s NuSTAR space observatory captures pops of bright blue and green in this image of the Fireworks galaxy (NGC 6946) show the locations of extremely bright sources of X-ray light. Generated by some of the most energetic processes in the universe, these X-ray sources are rare compared to the many visible light sources in the background image.

A new study, published in the Astrophysical Journal, offers some possible explanations for the surprise appearance of the green source near the center of the galaxy, which came into view and disappeared in a matter of weeks.
