Friday’s Riverfest featured something for everyone

RiverFest 2019Clarksville, TN – The second night of Riverfest 2019 saw a diverse musical line-up that featured a range of genres from Country, to Rock, to R & B, all capped off by one of the nation’s premiere Pink Floyd tribute bands, American Floyd.

This year’s Family Zone, which is set up along the River Walk behind O’Charley’s, is once again filled with fun, games, entertainment and educational activities that will appeal to the whole family.

Dozens of vendors were located in the Family Zone, offering a variety of arts and crafts, clothing and other items. The area outside the main pavilion was filled with food trucks and tents offering fresh squeezed lemonade, flavored ice, ice cream, funnel-cakes and more.

Riverfest is Clarksville’s longest-running community festival, and brings more than 30,000 people to Liberty and McGregor Parks along the Cumberland River over the course of three days. Riverfest is a celebration of music and the arts, much of which is free and open to the public thanks to the generous support of partners like Miller Lite, Google, Lamar Advertising and Clarksville Living Magazine.

Saturday was be an even busier day at the festival, with local and regional musical acts performing on two stages beginning at noon. Local dance groups representing CAST & Crowns, Natalie’s Dance Network, Acro Dance Express, Distinguished Steppers, Infinity Dance, and more will show their talents on the Google Stage.

Music on the Google Stage started at 5:00pm. with Hayley Payne, followed by Austin James, Rufus Dawkins, and Jerda Musick.

The Miller Stage featured music all day, beginning with Nicole Coley, the 101st Airborne Division Band, Emmalee, and more. As the sun goes down Cody Parks and the Dirty South did a powerhouse set, followed by Maggie, and then this year’s headliner, Montgomery Gentry at 9:15pm.
