Hopkinsville Community College to hold Constitution Day Lecture with Thomas Glover, J.D.

 

Hopkinsville Community CollegeHopkinsville, KY – On Tuesday, September 17th, 2019, Constitution Day will be observed at Hopkinsville Community College (HCC) with a special guest lecture by Thomas Glover, J.D. The focus of Glover’s lecture will be “The Constitution, the Census and Gerrymandering.”

He will discuss the role of the census in the determination of how seats in the U.S. House of Representatives are appropriated, and notes that following the 1990 census, Kentucky lost one seat in the house.

APSU Women's VolleyballColumbia, MO – Junior Brooke Moore finished with a season-high 20 kills as teh Austin Peay State University (APSU) volleyball team dropped a four-set decision (25-23, 22-25, 19-25, 25-27) to Kansas City, Saturday morning, in the second of the Mizzou Invitational at the Hearnes Center.

6th annual Fine Fettle set for Saturday, September 28th

 

The Food InitiativeClarksville, TN – On Saturday, September 28th, 2019, the Food Initiative will hold it’s 6th annual Fine Fettle at “The Venue” at the Old Glory Distilling Co. An evening unlike any other in Clarksville, guests will be immersed in a farm-to-table culinary experience.

Featuring nine leading chefs from across the region, locally sourced foods, elevated wine pairings, an open bar, a silent and live auction.

The event runs from 6:30pm until 9:30pm.

Tennessee Titans last game against Indianapolis Colts

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans hosted the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football with a playoff spot at stake and lost by a score of 33-17 in the 2018 regular season finale.

On Indianapolis’ opening possession, Colts QB Andrew Luck marched his team 92 yards down the field for a scoring drive. Luck threw a 17-yard pass to Colts RB Nyheim Hines, a 24-yard toss to Colts WR Dontrelle Inman, an 18-yard ball to Colts WR T.Y. Hilton, and a 13-yard strike to Colts TE Eric Ebron. Ultimately, Luck connected with Inman for an 11-yard touchdown and a 7-0 Colts lead.

Try shotgun shooting sports with Tennessee Scholastic Clay Target Program on September 28th

 

Tennessee Wildlife FederationNashville, TN – Tennessee Scholastic Clay Target Program invites 4th through 12th graders from all corners of the state to come explore the shotgun shooting sports and try hitting a few targets on their own. 

The free Recruitment Day is on September 28th from 10:00am to 2:00pm (local time) and will introduce youth to teams in their area. To find a location near you visit tnwf.org/explore.

“We’re always excited to welcome and introduce new athletes to the sport. Whether you’ve handled a firearm before or not, Recruitment Day is a safe and fun way to try the sport for the first time,” said Andrew Peercy, Tennessee SCTP manager.
