Clarksville-Montgomery County School System announces Administrator Appointments

Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS)Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) has announced that Jessica Harris, who has 18 years of academic experience in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, has been tapped as the Director of the 24 elementary schools.

Ms. Harris currently serves as principal of Minglewood Elementary School. She previously served as principal at Byrns Darden Elementary School and Hazelwood Elementary School. Her teaching experience was at West Creek Elementary School and Kenwood Elementary School.

She earned her master’s in educational leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University and a M.A. in education from Cumberland University. She holds a B.S. in interdisciplinary studies from Austin Peay State University (APSU). She was named a statewide finalist for principal of the year this week by the State Department of Education. She represents the Mid Cumberland region of Middle Tennessee.

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System announces Dr. LeJoia VanHook as assistant principal for Kenwood High School.

Dr. LeJoia VanHook has been selected as assistant principal for Kenwood High School, where she has served as an academic coach. Prior experience includes being an instructional coach with Teach for America and a teacher at Una Elementary in Nashville. She has six years of educational experience.

Dr. VanHook earned her doctorate of education in organizational leadership from Argosy University, and her administrative license endorsement from Lipscomb University. She has a master of arts in training and development from Roosevelt University in Chicago and a B.A. in psychology and Spanish from Fisk University in Nashville.
