The foundation is funding up to 60 participants in the courses.

“Through the efforts of the Foundation, we’re able to offer these classes to our community at no cost to them,” Dr. Chad Brooks, APSU associate provost of research and dean of the College of Graduate Studies, said.

The classes, which begin October 23rd during APSU’s Fall II term, include:

  • Social Media for Business
  • Marketing in the Digital Age
  • Fake News? The Media and Elections
  • Introduction to Korean History and Culture
  • Introduction to Pharmacology

Participants who complete a course will receive one hour of college credit, which can be applied later to several degree programs at Austin Peay State Univeristy.

“These community courses are a great way to leverage APSU’s gift of education back to our community so that people of all walks of life can enjoy a college-level class and gain some new skill sets too,” Brooks said earlier this month.

Registration is now open for these free community classes. For information, visit www.apsu.edu/october or contact Benjamin Drummond at 931.221.1457 or drummondb@apsu.edu.
