Marsha Blackburn, Richard Blumenthal Call for Full Funding of Programs to Prevent Child Exploitation

 

U.S. SenateWashington, D.C. – Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) wrote today to Senate appropriators to request increased funding for missing and exploited children programs in the appropriations bill currently before Congress.

The letter follows a recent report finding that over 45 million online images and videos were flagged as child sexual abuse last year, and that images are increasing exponentially in number, becoming more extreme, and featuring increasingly younger victims.

APSU Women’s Golf battles hard in day one at Chris Banister Classic

 

APSU Women's GolfGlencoe, AL – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) women  golf team had to battle for everything it achieved on the first day of competition at the Chris Banister Classic, withstanding both some early-morning weather and an unfortunate bit of bad luck over the opening 36 holes.

Tennessee Highway Patrol locates Stolen Airplane

 

Tennessee Highway Patrol - THPNashville, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) began assisting the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department in a burglary report from July 2019. Among items stolen from the burglary was an unregistered or unknown registration aircraft which was last known to be on a custom trailer for transport.

CID investigators led a coordinated effort with the Tennessee Department of Revenue and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, resulting in Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Trooper Jeff Phann locating and recovering the aircraft in Putnam County on Tuesday October the 1st.

Clarksville Police request Public Help with incident on Britton Springs Road

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Sunday, October 6th, 2019 at approximately 5:34pm, Clarksville Police Department responded to an incident on Britton Springs Road, involving a black male who sustained severe injuries. The victim has been identified as 18 year old Antony Richardson.

CPD are seeking anyone that may have information about Mr. Richardson’s activities on October 6th, 2019. Mr. Richardson will not to survive his injuries; this incident is being investigated as a homicide.

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital to offer Flu Vaccine at walk-in clinic

 

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH)Fort Campbell KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital will open a temporary walk-in flu vaccine clinic for two weeks where beneficiaries may receive their annual influenza shot.

The temporary clinic will be open October 28th to November 6th, Monday and Wednesday from 7:00am to 4:00pm and Tuesday from 9:00am to 6:00pm in Bldg. 207 on Bastogne Avenue, next to Bank of America. All TRICARE beneficiaries six months or older, including Soldiers, Retirees and Family members, may receive the vaccine without an appointment with no out-of-pocket expense at the temporary walk-in flu immunization clinic. Individuals will need to show their military ID card before receiving the flu vaccine.

Suicidal Man surrenders to Clarksville Police Tactical

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report the suicidal man at Hampton Plaza has been resolved without injury.

He surrender to the CPD Tactical team peacefully.

All roadways are back open.

The man’s truck was located in the area of 2838 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. The parking lot surrounding Red Lobster, South Hampton, North Edgewood and and a portion of Wilma Rudolph is still closed to traffic.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police officers are on the scene of a suicidal man. The man’s truck has been located in the area of 2838 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

The parking lot surrounding Red Lobster, South Hampton , North Edgewood and and a portion of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard is closed to traffic.

Residents should avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
