Instead, the Govs found themselves down the leaderboard following a final-round 326, finishing with a 964 (318-320-326) that no doubt was a byproduct of playing with no margin for error once injury forced Meghann Stamps from the competition.

With Stamps out, Darnell stepped up and earned an 11th-place finish, holding on with a final-round 77 to finish at 230 overall (77-76-77). The Madisonville, Kentucky native continued to avoid catastrophe, highlighted by a tournament-high 37 pars and a 4.30 par-4 stroke average which led the Govs and ranked 13th among all competitors.

Fellow sophomore Taylor Dedmen made another slight move up the leaderboard, with a final-round 77 of her own to move into a tie for 29th overall at 237 (83-77-77). She tied Darnell for the team lead with a 5.08 stroke average on par-5 attempts.

Juniors Riley Cooper (80-82-80—242; t-38th) and Andrea Presilla (83-85-92—260; 56th) rounded out the Austin Peay State University lineup; Presilla continued her assault on par-3 holes, averaging 3.17 strokes per attempt during the tournament.
