Nashville, TN – A horse in West Tennessee has tested positive for eastern equine encephalitis (EEE), a virus that can be fatal for horses and humans. The Tennessee departments of Agriculture and Health (TDA and TDH) are advising citizens to take precautions to protect themselves and their livestock.
The horse in Gibson County showed signs of illness. Testing confirmed it was suffering from EEE, and the horse was euthanized.

Clarksville Police report William Boughner Indicted for Shooting of 15 Year Old During Drive-By Shooting
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report William Boughner, age 19, was indicted by the October Grand Jury in conjunction with the drive-by shooting of a 15 year old which took place on Oak Lane, July 7th. There were multiple bystanders when the shooting took place which generated Aggravated Assault charges.
The 16 year old (15 at the time of the shooting) still continues to recover from the injuries sustained from the shooting.

Montgomery County, TN – On Saturday, October 26th, 2019, Montgomery County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) will host its third annual superhero adoption event from 10:00am to 3:00pm at 616 North Spring Street in remembrance of Scotti Reif, son of MCACC employee Adria Reif.
Scotti was an avid animal lover who often helped his mom care for the cats and dogs at MCACC. Scotti passed away in August 2016. The adoption event is done to honor Scotti’s memory and help homeless pets find loving homes.
Clarksville Police request public help identifying Vehicle Burglar who stole a Battery using Baby Stroller
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police say a man used a baby stroller to carry away a battery stolen during a vehicle burglary.
The burglary occurred at 1309 College Street around 2:30am. The man entered the business lot and tried opening several vehicle doors before he found one unlocked. Once inside of the vehicle, he looked around, activated the hood release, and then stole the car’s battery.

Washington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2019 CR-V vehicles. The owner’s guide provides incorrectly describes when the “Passenger Airbag Off” indicator should illuminate.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, “Occupant Crash Protection.”
