Clarksville Police report William Boughner Indicted for Shooting of 15 Year Old During Drive-By Shooting

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report William Boughner, age 19, was indicted by the October Grand Jury in conjunction with the drive-by shooting of a 15 year old which took place on Oak Lane, July 7th. There were multiple bystanders when the shooting took place which generated Aggravated Assault charges.

The 16 year old (15 at the time of the shooting) still continues to recover from the injuries sustained from the shooting.

Also, Boughner was indicted for involvement in Carjackings, Vehicle Thefts, and an Aggravated Robbery which took place in July.

William Boughner was taken in custody today after he walked into the Vista Lane precinct to retrieve a phone which he had surrendered to police for involvement in another criminal case. He was unaware of the indictments and was taken in custody at Vista Lane without incident.

He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with: Attempted Murder, Three Counts of Aggravated Assault, Two Counts of Weapon Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Robbery, Carjacking, and Two Counts of Theft of Property. Boughner’s bond is set at $200,000.

Additional charges may be forthcoming.

The lead investigators are Detective Beaubien and Detective Carlton.
