TWRA announces First Young Sportsman Deer Hunt set for October 26th-27th

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) says the first of two Tennessee young sportsman deer hunts for the 2019-20 season will be held the weekend of October 26th-27th, 2019.

Youth ages 6-16 years of age may participate. Participating youth can use gun, muzzleloader, and archery equipment.

Young sportsmen must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult, 21 or older who must remain in position to take immediate control of the hunting device.

Marsha Blackburn Report: Holding Turkey Accountable For Its Atrocities

 

U.S. SenateWashington, D.C. – Protecting our Kurdish partners is a priority. Turkey must be held accountable for its destabilization of northern Syria, and ISIS must not be allowed to resurge. 

While I am encouraged that the lines of communication are open, this five-day pause in hostilities does not make up for the lives lost, families displaced, and homes destroyed by the Turkish incursion. Not only are we abandoning our Kurdish partners, but Putin is exploiting our withdrawal. We must not cede power to Moscow.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office releases update on arrest of Attempted Homicide Suspect Thomas Reynolds

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Clarksville Police Department, and Stewart County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Tennessee Highway Patrol have apprehended Thomas Reynolds.

Reynolds was wanted out of Stewart County for attempted 2nd degree murder, aggravated assault, domestic assault, reckless endangerment, and felon in possession of a handgun.

He was apprehend on Butts Road in Montgomery County at approximated 1:00pm Sunday afternoon.

New Book Chronicles the History of the Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville Railroad

 

RailFanningAtlanta, GA – A new book chronicles the history of the Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville Railroad, and is believed to be the first-ever complete history of the line.

The line, chartered in 1852, ran between Paris, Tennessee, and Guthrie, Kentucky, and formed part of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad’s Memphis branch. The Louisville & Nashville acquired the road in the 1870s.
