Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office releases update on arrest of Attempted Homicide Suspect Thomas Reynolds

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Clarksville Police Department, and Stewart County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Tennessee Highway Patrol have apprehended Thomas Reynolds.

Reynolds was wanted out of Stewart County for attempted 2nd degree murder, aggravated assault, domestic assault, reckless endangerment, and felon in possession of a handgun.

He was apprehend on Butts Road in Montgomery County at approximated 1:00pm Sunday afternoon.

A clerk at the Dollar General located at 1399 Dover Road called 911 after observing Reynolds purchase a wig, hat, jeans, shirt, food and hygiene products.

Shortly afterwards a homeowner in the area called 911 after noticing a suspicious man running into the wooded area behind their house.

Reynolds was booked into the Stewart County Jail. His bond is $127,500.

“Teamwork between multiple law enforcement agencies and the public lead to the successful capture of Reynolds,” said Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson. “I especially want to thank the public for their reporting and support while we worked to apprehend Reynolds.”
