Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019, the Clarksville Gas and Water Department will join utilities and organizations across the country for the fifth annual “Imagine a Day Without Water” campaign, a day of education and advocacy about the value of water.
Clarksville will be one of a thousand organizations nationwide raising awareness about water and the crucial need for investment in public water systems.
Clarksville Gas and Water will host an open house from 10:00am to 2:00pm October 23rd at the City water treatment plant and invites the community to come out and meet local drinking water providers. Councilwoman Valerie Guzman, chair of the City Council Gas and Water Committee, will present an “Imagine a Day Without Water” proclamation from Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts and facility tours will begin at 11:00am.
